Virginia Waldron

Originally from South Carolina, Virginia began playing tennis at the age of three. She enjoyed a solid junior career, winning multiple titles in both singles and doubles, as well as the prestigious Mary Hodgins Sportsmanship Award for the USTA Southern Section-South Carolina. Virginia competed for NCAA Division 1, Presbyterian College earning Big South All Conference recognition throughout her collegiate career. Her father is also a tennis professional, so she's had the good fortune of being mentored by some of the nation's top coaches. She lists Wayne Bryan (father of Bob and Mike Bryan) and Chuck Kriese (former Clemson University Head Coach) as two of the most influential. Virginia believes in developing players through cooperative learning, where the student is involved in his/her own learning process. And that learning process is totally unique to each individual. “I try to push each player to excel at every aspect of their development; physically, mentally and emotionally."
