Danny Manlow

Danny, originally from Somerset England, brings tremendous depth to the Gotham coaching staff with his expertise and many accomplishments as a player and coach. Danny’s accomplished junior playing career led him to an ITF world junior ranking of 707, as well as a spot on the British National Junior Team. After junior tennis, he enjoyed a very successful college career, playing #1 singles and doubles for NCAA Division 1, University of Alabama, Birmingham. After his time at UAB Danny went on to play professionally, earning 11 ATP singles ranking points and 8 ATP doubles ranking points, finishing 2014 with an ATP world ranking of 1002 in singles. In his time as a touring pro he compiled a record of 28-0 in pro circuit qualifying matches and reached the semi-finals of a $15,000 Futures event in Harlingen, Texas. While playing professionally, Danny simultaneously held the position of Assistant Men's Tennis Coach for NCAA Division 1 Drake University. His two seasons coaching at Drake would prove to be the most successful seasons in school history, as the Bulldogs achieved a top 25 NCAA ranking and won a round in the NCAA tournament in back to back years.
